Constructing and Transforming Knowledge

This article contains a detailed diagram of Bloom’s Taxonomy which I feel to be highly relevant in regards to constructing and transforming knowledge, which was brought to my attention in the week 4 learning path. I believe that this diagram/image of Bloom’s Taxonomy can be utilised to assist educators in better comprehending the distinction between these two forms of learning. Specifically, I believe that the concept of constructing knowledge has a significant connection to the Understand and identify given that within these phases the students will be required to recall facts and basic concepts, and explain ideas or concepts in order to demonstrate their understanding. In conjunction with this, I believe the phases Analyse, Evaluate, and Create are most relevant to the transformation of knowledge given that students will be required to draw connections among ideas, justify a stand or decision, and produce new or original work in the Assignment 2 unit plan.
